Formulation Procedure

Procedure (Cold Process)

  1. Preblend ingredients of phase A2 and disperse it in phase A1 (Silverson for 7 min at 7,000 rpm).
  2. Add phase B to phase A using IKA® (4-cross stirrer) until homogeneous.
  3. Combine ingredients of phase C1 and mix until homogeneous.
  4. Add phase C2 to phase C1 while mixing.
  5. Add phase C to phase AB and mix until emulsion is homogeneous.
  6. Add phase D to phase ABC.

Additional Notes

  • Stable 3 months at 4°C, RT and 40°C.
  • Aspect: Smooth and shiny white lotion
  • pH = 8.12
  • Viscosity (spindle 5; 10 rpm; 1 min) = 33,120 cPs (82.8%)
  • Application: Apply evenly on face and/or body. Re-apply every 2 hours for optimal protection
  • in vivo SPF (measured by Grupo Kosmoscience) = 46
  • in vitro SPF (measured by Vizor Sun) = 45
  • % NOI = 98
